Our Facilities
At KB Equestrian, we know that true recovery starts with the right environment. Our brand new, purpose-built facilities offer a calm, secure, and hygienic space where horses can heal and thrive.
From spacious, ventilated stables to safe turnout areas and low-impact work zones, every detail is designed to support your horse’s physical and mental well-being.
Outdoor Stalls

The stall sizes are either 3.5 m x 3.5 m or 4.5 m x 4.5 m.
Each stall has two windows, allowing all horses to maintain visual contact with one another. The smaller window provides additional ventilation during hot weather, and in winter, it lets in natural light while helping to retain warmth inside the stall.

We use wood shavings for bedding to ensure optimal cleanliness and comfort. We deep-clean the stalls every morning and remove manure a second time during the day to maintain hygiene.

Hay is offered 4 times a day in slow-feeder nets and available ad libitum. Grain is fed 3 times daily, with types and quantities adjusted to each horse’s specific requirements.

To provide extra comfort and safety, our stalls are equipped with rubber mats underneath the bedding.
Some stalls are also fitted with rubber panels on the walls to provide extra safety and comfort for horses that require it.
Outdoor Arena

The outdoor arena is equipped with high-quality sand and fibre footing, designed to provide optimal working conditions. Its well-engineered drainage system ensures the surface remains rideable in various weather conditions. Regular maintenance of the footing is essential to guarantee comfort for every horse.

Wooden fencing surrounds the arena, with hedges providing natural wind protection. Thoughtfully located in a quiet, secluded area, the arena offers privacy and minimises exposure to noise and external distractions—conditions specifically designed to support the needs of horses undergoing rehabilitation.

The arena is equipped with jumping equipment to support the training and development of our sport horses. An irrigation system and daily maintenance ensures optimal footing quality at all times.
Indoor Arena

The indoor arena is equipped with high-quality sand and fibre footing, designed to provide optimal working conditions.

The indoor arena has been specifically designed to be fully enclosed and insulated, offering protection from cold, wind, and external noise. This calm space provides a controlled environment that is ideal for year-round use.

The arena is equipped with all the necessary jumping materials to support the training and development of our sport horses. Our state of the art irrigation system and daily maintenance ensures optimal footing quality at all times.
Paddocks

Our winter paddocks are made of fine sand and gravel, providing excellent drainage to keep the horses’ hooves as dry as possible even in wet conditions. Used all year round, these paddocks are designed so that horses are close to one another, promoting social interaction and well-being.

The summer paddocks are individual grass enclosures where horses can graze, roll, and enjoy direct contact with their pasture companions. These paddocks offer a natural and comfortable environment for the warmer season.
Grooming Stalls

We have two indoor grooming stalls, each designed to provide a calm and focused environment. One room is equipped with a solarium, whilst the other is equipped with a hot water shower. Each grooming space includes anti-slip and noise-reducing mats to ensure safety and tranquility.
Our outdoor shower is also a great open space, also equipped with rubber mats.
Pastures

At the back of the property, a large pasture allows the horses to enjoy fresh grass during the summer months.

Fresh water is provided at all times to keep the horses well hydrated.

Trees in the pasture offer natural shade, allowing horses to find refuge from the heat.

Horses are only allowed in the pasture during the day and are closely monitored to ensure their safety and well-being.
Walker

Our facility features a spacious outdoor walker with capacity for up to eight horses. Its open design allows horses to move freely in fresh air, surrounded by natural greenery—promoting both physical conditioning and mental well-being.

Special attention has been given to the flooring in our walker, where we’ve installed recycled plastic footing. This surface is supportive of the equine musculoskeletal system, shock-absorbent, and provides excellent stability—ensuring safe, comfortable use in all weather conditions.

The Sonian Forest is a vast, protected woodland area known for its diverse trails and beautiful natural scenery. It offers an ideal environment for riding, with paths suited to various skill levels. Riders can explore shaded routes, gentle hills, and open clearings, making it a favorite destination for equestrians seeking both training and leisure rides.

Our property benefits from direct access to the Sonian Forest, allowing us to enter the trails immediately without the need for transportation. This unique convenience provides our horses with daily opportunities for outdoor exercise and exploration in a natural setting, enhancing their well-being and adding variety in training routines.
